The type of chill-out clothes that you choose to wear after a long shift as a nurse will depend a little bit on the weather where you live. If it is cold and snowy, you will probably want to wear sweats to keep warm. However, if it is really hot and steamy, you’ll probably want to wear a tee shirt or tank with a comfy pair of shorts. Some people think that hanging out at home in your simply basic scrubs is relaxing. But for nurses that work in medical professions, they may not be able to wait to take their scrubs off!
Regardless of your personal sense of style, everyone has their own ideas of what will make us the most comfortable: anything that we can simply lounge around in with our friends and be comfortable while wearing it. Your family will understand if you run around your house in a ratty pair of sweatpants or jeans with holes in them. They won't laugh at you if you opt to spend the all weekend hanging out in your pajamas. You work hard as a nurse, and you deserve the chance to chill out and relax. The overall reason for just cocooning at home is to spend quality time with the family while being as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
